Lovely day today
« on: January 29, 2019, 05:35:02 PM »
Where was everybody.. No wind warmish...at AAMFC One of the best days I have had at the club.
Shame my Align 550 decided to stop working before the last flight.    I thought it might be because it was getting a bit colder but sadly no.   Just does not want to get past the initial 6 cell beeps on the Tallon 90.  So I suspect perhaps the motor as have tried setting the speed controller up again.
Any thought welcome.   Not bad ones Ian.

Looking at the controller fault chart it could be the throttle and trim are not at the bottom.

Jim
Thank you for that  info.    I did try that this afternoon but will go over it again as it is a possibility.  It's funny it was working perfectly and nothing has.  been altered.
Thanks for pointing me in this  direction will let you know.

Tried to reset the Tallon 90 throttle low and high

Advancing using the travel adjust as per instructions.    It was set at 127 at the top but even going past that to full high and low still does not bleep.. For calibration.  Mmmm

Are you using this instructions from Castle as I see no mention of atv settings, most speed controllers will not arm unless the throttle stick at bottom travel plus sub trim also at the bottom. As you were flying it today it may have been that the throttle stick was not at the bottom for your last flight.

Thanks Jim for the info.   Tried that today.  It is not arming at low position and now the two Sats from the GPro are not lighting up.   Green on GPro though.  Have tried binding the GPro but so far not working.  Will spend the afternoon with a PC and hammer.  Thanks again

When does the council collect your recycling? 😜

But seriously it looks like something electrical. Have you tried substituting the esc? It can be any type just to see if itís working, you donít need to spin up much. Or have you a standard receiver you can plug into the original speedo to help give elimination check.
As for your GPro...not a clue....me being a plank flyer only.
Stick at it Iím sure that youíll find the problem

Hi Guys.
Thanks for the help I do appreciate it..
Well had to re program Tallon 90 and Gpro.to get them to talk to each other...  I think it must have got a spike on shut down which screwed the whole system   The throttle end points were out slightly but not enough to stop it arming.
So at a bit of a loss to understand why they were not speaking to each other.  Once I had gone through all the settings  on PC s it decided to come back from the dead...Gave it a test fly in the garden and all seemed perfect..

I guess I learnt a lot today  Thanks again
