Title: Oyster catchers in the car park
Post by: Ron Massie on June 03, 2015, 08:37:24 PM
Please be aware that the birds have laid an egg in the usual spot in the car park.
There is a starting table placed close to the nest to protect the birds, please leave in place.

Ah!! So that's where our two birds have absconded to.
Our 2 @ West Calder have the same habbit of laying eggs in the middel of the car park, but they have only been seen once then have dissapeared. Co-incidentally a large fox was seen at the site recently.

You'll know if it has hatched as the parent go mad employ diversionary tactics if you go anywhere near the chick.

Our oyster catcher family are back for their yearly birthing visit. Usual table has been placed in the car park over the egg for protection.
