Title: Flying Qualification For "Drone & Model Aircraft Registration
Post by: Alan C on October 28, 2019, 06:44:52 PM
This is a copy of a email from the SAA,

We have had some queries regarding flying qualifications for the above scheme.  Any member no matter how long they have been flying will have to do the on line competency test if they have not passed a "SAA Bronze" test or equivalent before the end of November.  Please circulate as widely as possible

regards Wullie J

I took the test and passed. I didn't study, it took 20 minutes and it's over.

Ian Corse is an active fixed wing examiner and a member of our club although not a frequent attendee. Iím sure he would come up and examine people who are interested in taking their fixed wing bronze certificates if you get in touch with him and arrange a date. Would be good to get a few people through it on one day to make his visit worthwhile.

The only other examiner is Willie Young but i havenít seen Willie for some time now.

Ken
The test you took wasnít the bronze, I hope you know that. You still should pass your bronze to fly unattended.
Those who already have a bronze or higher donít need to sit the drone test that you have done.
