Bring a fence paint brush.
« on: June 23, 2020, 06:00:25 PM »
Folks,

Itís the time of year again when we all have to muck in and paint the pit tables that we all use.
The club supplies the paint ( water based , so your brushes can be easily cleaned)  and all of us can supply the brushes and labour. With everyone chipping in it should take lo longer than two or three hours to complete. So not much out of your flying time.
So please remember, old clothes on next visit to the field and a big paint brush.

Thanks in advance

I think it would be nice if members joined in helping now,      Grass or should I say weeds in the carpark always needs a trim with the flymo,     help painting   would save a lot of time.. The club was well looked after during lockdown as the Committee wanted to keep its members safe..

I may well drag myself to the field tomorrow (Wednesday) and slap some more paint on, I would have been out today but was expecting three packages to arrive.

On second thoughts, while listening to the wind whistling in the windows,
perhaps not.

Sorry Mike, and Al but due to reasons you know Iíll not be painting any tables tomorrow ( or for the foreseeable future) but will help out otherwise by jumping on the mower and cutting grass. We only got about 1/2 the field done on Tuesday so hope to do the rest on Thursday.

No problem Ian   at all....    Every little helps to keep the club in a flyable condition.   I am sure other club members will offer to help?

Thanks Phil please keep foamy Forrest away from the picnic benches he has a tendency of sawing the seated parts to cause them to break when members sit in them.

Iím afraid the last member to bust one didnít need any saw cuts in the wood. He managed fine withjust his bum! 😀

There has been a lot of help trying to get your club up to spec re painting tables, fixing tables cleaning the hut by a quite a few members.. Which goes unnoticed sometimes...   I think I would like to point out to the members we owe a big thank you to everyone who did their bit,  but especially Conrad and Mike Deans who spent a lot of time today    trying to adjust the mower when they could have been flying...
No mower no flying.
