The great International Rescue team of Mike the Drone and Phil the Fetcher Mite succeeded in the retrieval of the corpse and you may find it in the workshop container. The battery is as expected totally discharged but appears to be undamaged.

You"ll need a new fuselage or do some repairing, the wing mounting plates have been torn out, the bulkhead the wing tongue fits into is broken on one side as has the fuselage on the opposite side, the undercarriage mounting plate has been torn out (no surprise there), the servo mounting plate in the fuselage is still firmly fixed but mysteriously the closed loop wires to the rudder are very slack, the propeller has one blade very definitely bent backwards, the motor may be OK as an initial spin did not reveal any serious wobbles but still needs a careful check. There may be other issues (receiver aerial being one, as there is a very short stump of a lead) but apart  from these issues a good buff out should see it alright. 😈

Mike,
Those 5 channel Spekky receivers have one short and one looonnng aerial.
I’d flew it with that one for a couple years. I wonder whether something got it when the wing ripped out.
Gav did a full range check before flight too.
But the strange thing is the battery.
I wonder whether the battery fitted was a discharged one( in error of course) .Enough power in it to give a last surge at take off then it goes into the brown out stage when the four Hitec hitorque servos come into play and drag any remaining voltage down. Surely a receiver won’t totally discharge a fully charged 6s 5000 in two days?

Lastly and a bit spooky ,it went in in nearly the same place as at least three other planes, with total loss of control????

I gave the battery a check and it did not even light up the display on the battery checker. The stumpy little aerial lead did not have the usual exposed core so I wondered about it being damaged in the “arrival”.
Yes, I too wondered about a discharged battery being fitted and also the fact of loss of control on this the fourth model to be lost in this fashion, Alan’s electric foamy glider, my moulded composite electric glider  and your Panic.

It’s like an episode of air crash investigation. Plan is to repair the fus if repairable. Purchase a new wing and get her going again.

I did check the battery before flight and it was showing 93%. That being said it has sat fully charged for some time (I know I should have put it into storage mode). It wouldn’t surprise me if this is battery related which is my fault.

I charged the batteries of the two Walkie Talkies last night and dropped them off at the field (15.10). Out of curiosity I checked your 6s pack with a multimeter and the voltage at the xt60 socket read 9.23 volts, somewhat down on 22.2 volts normally expected wouldn’t you say.

Your speaking a language I don’t know mike but if it’s normal then heyho.  Re the repair to the fus if any nice more capable repairer than I wishes to fix it for me then that would be great as I’m working an awful lot and looking after the 3 year old due to no nursery. Not going to have much time to dedicate to the repair. Beer tokens can be donated😁

I gave Mike B a wing for a Wot 4 perhaps you could ask him if he could give you it.
As for repair of fuselage...please count me out.

DD has left you a wing, all you need now is someone to give you a fuselage 😀
